Welcome adventurers (new and old). The Dark Gate Xibalba awaits; though not by choice.
I love D&D! I have DM'd for several years. From D&D 3.5, 4, 5, including pathfinder. I am not one to study every meticulous detail for rulings; but know in great detail a majority of the game mechanics.
I love content creation. I have developed a dark and mysterious world to explore (story), using beautiful map overlay artwork from MarketPlace designers Gabriel Pickard, David Hemenway, and Russ Hapke (more info below). In addition, boss encounters are specifically designed to test your mettle - as they are created especially for the campaign with their own statblocks and extended health pools.
I am currently running multiple Roll20 games. So if you are looking for a testimonial for a good DM, please ask my players.
Having a band of committed players makes D&D extremely rewarding. Payment is a sort of insurance that separates those whom like to truly invest time into their character and world setting, from those who frequently ditch their campaigns.
In addition, preparation time accrues to approximately 16hrs per week - which is a huge investment on my end (not that I need compensation for my time necessarily, but with the addition of Roll20 maintenance and future purchases - payment is designed to properly balance our entire experience as a whole).
Also, your $10.00 per session is:
- granting you access to original DnD content. Released May 2017, only two other groups have begun this campaign designed to progress players from Level 1 to 20.
- This campaign has been designed with over $493.68 worth of purchased D&D content and artwork from the Roll20 Marketplace (not including manuals). Featuring beautiful overlay map artwork from Gabriel Pickard, David Hemenway, and Russ Hapke.
- Implementation of Dynamic Lighting
- DM with PRO subscription.
This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10.00 USD per player per session via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
By some accusation, no matter the degree of truth - or lack thereof, the Imperial State has deemed you unworthy of life and has sentenced you as such. Now aboard a vessel, travelling through the Sea of Lost Souls, you arrive at the Dark Gate; a blackened spire piercing the whirlpool of clouds above, arcing with blue-green energies beyond the sky. Chained to several others, hardly clothed, and without inventory, your mind begins racing upon the deck of the ship - adrenaline and fear progress - as the realization of the unknown begins calculating, purely chaos. Your fear driven panic is briefly interrupted, "Dispatch the cargo!", quickly looking around in an attempt to locate the barking voice, you notice the Imperial Ship Captain pointing at the chained lot of you. And without delay, deckhands begin tying ropes to both the first-in-line-exile's chains and a stone slab.
"Get us underway, for this place is twisted - cursed..." Tells the Ship Captain, as he passes you and the other exiles, "I'd not even dare send the worst of enemies to where you're going; may you die swiftly within the voids of Xibalba."
Distracted by the captains words, you refocus onto a sound of chains running across wood; and with a violent snap, the chained exiles before you fall forward, dragged across the rugged wood, quickly disappearing over the ship. Watching as the chains beneath your feet uncoil, you can hear the screams and splashes of the others - until finally, whipping forward, you smash upon the deck, sliding violently across the ship falling off the side and into the waters below.
The ocean salts burn your flesh wounds as you sink unto the deep, as you struggle with your chains in an attempt to break free. Only moments after hitting the water do you see a flash of blue-green energy enveloping the sea around you. Confused and blurred, while still quickly descending unto the deep, you reopen your eyes revealing a dark coil of energy extending from the submerged base of the spire. And as you take notice of the coil, so does it take notice of you, quickly traversing the water in an electrical fashion - piercing your body. You go unconscious.
Thank you for your time!
And hope to see you soon :)
