"From caverns miles beneath the New Mexico desert, the D'ni ruled an empire that lasted ten millennia. They wrote Linking Books that allowed them to span universes, ignoring the primitive humans that infested the surface of the Earth. But the glory of D'ni was brought low mere centuries ago, and their Ages were left empty and abandoned...until now.
"Called to the desert, we have found our way down to D'ni. Its secrets are in our hands, and its future is ours to determine.
"The next chapter of D'ni is Unwritten." [--UNWRITTEN, back cover text]
This is a single session of UNWRITTEN: Adventures in the Ages of MYST and Beyond, inspired by the MYST series of computer games and approved by Cyan Inc.

It is played with modified Fate Core rules, for 3-6 players. I can teach you the Fate Core and Unwritten rules. Pre-generated characters are provided for you to choose from. Also, have some note-paper and a pencil by your side!
In "Golden Glows", the characters aid the D'ni revivalists in restoring the Jaren district of the underground D'ni city of Ae'gura. Some humans doubt that these efforts will work, and a few even insultingly called the revivalists "Cozzies" -- mere cosplayers, or, "people with a cause." The streets in this district have pipework leading to lovely oil lamps -- but they are now dry. How were they supplied? The D'ni wrote Ages to supply themselves with everything, and a Linking Book has been found. Shall you go? To revive the D'ni district, you have to think like a D'ni.
Make Ae'gura glow again! :-)
We will use Discord for talk along with Roll20. Camera is optional, but you must have a Discord account and a working microphone that does not feed back the game sound. A headset is always better than a microphone and speakers, but if you must have speakers, keep the microphone away or listen to speakers at a low volume! Two (or more) monitors are recommended.
A NOTE ON ILLUSTRATIONS IN THE HANDOUTS:
I don't have the art budget of a computer game company. This game will be mostly theater of the mind, with a few illustrations I've cribbed from other sources. Artwork is the property of the company mentioned.
If you have any answers, I will be pleased to provide complete and thorough questions. :-)
