Curse of Strahd

Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came — all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited.

Hello! My name is Tony and I am your humble dungeon master. Ever since my party TPK'd while playing Strahd (three different times) I have always wanted to go back and run the adventure for my friends. Now that the module is on roll20, I figured I'd play my hand at it.

Our current members have played with me for years now on roll20, and we came up just shy of a full party when planning out this adventure. So, if you're interested in facing down the dread lord, please create a post below. Tell me a little bit about yourself, and why my friends and I want you over all the other applicants. Be sure to include your name, experience with 5e, and a little about the reason you want to play. I'm not looking for a character. I'm looking for a player. I'm not easily impressed by any character you've made. What impresses me is a person who is polite, personable, and fun to hang out with for 4 hours. A lot of people think their characters are cooler than they are. This is literally, never true. So tell me why i want YOU, not your stats, your dice, or anything else. This is a game of friends, sitting around a virtual table being goofy, talking in silly accents, sharing stories, laughs, and moments of triumph and defeat.

We had a player who received a promotion at work! And while we were happy for his success he can no longer can make our play time, so we are hoping to bring some new blood into the fold so that the Vampire can eat well this evening.
