Curse of Strahd

Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner—and you are invited.

I am a Dungeon Master with ~1 year of experience playing and running Dungeons and Dragons fifth edition. I own and am familiar with the Players Handbook, Dungeons Masters Guide, Monster Manuel, Volo's Guide, and the Sword Coast Adventurers Guide. We're about 12 sessions into this campaign. We're looking for one more player to fill in for a lost party member. Please only use classes/subclasses/backgrounds from the published material.

Our party is level 7, so go ahead and make your character for level 7.
The characters we've got are:
A warlock
A bard/barbarian
A Rogue
A Cleric

We will communicate through discord, applicants should private message me their contact info or include it in their application so I can have a brief conversation with them before adding them to the game.

I only have a few expectations from players.

  1. Be kind and respectful to your fellow players. The characters of our adventures may find themselves at odds, the players need not.
  2. Know your character. This means that players should have a good idea of their abilities and choices during combat, as well as their significant behavioral traits and background characteristics that may become important during role play.
  3. Make every effort to be on time. I am a flexible guy, if there are conflicts and players reach out to me beforehand, I will be accommodating. Life can sometimes be messy, our hobbies shouldn't have to be. That said, if the listed date and time is not something you believe can be made to work then it would be wise to look elsewhere for a game.
  4. Have fun, and more importantly, contribute to the rest of the groups fun. If everyone is working together to make the adventure enjoyable and immersive, we will certainly have a wonderful time.
