Malice's Black Crusade

Under the baleful light of the black sun known as the Tyrant Star, four individuals from across the Screaming Vortex come together to meet the summons of an unknown entity. Little do they know what plans their benefactor, a daemon of Malice, has in store for them…

This will be a Malice-themed, Unaligned-only game of Black Crusade. What that means is you’re not allowed to ever become aligned to any of the four main Chaos gods. Instead, you must toe the line and (possibly) venerate the forgotten God, Malice. If you do ever accidentally become aligned, then your character will likely be offed and you’ll have to start over fresh. Otherwise I feel like character creation and play will be a fairly normal Black Crusade experience.

I've run quite a number of 40k RPGs before, mostly Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy. My games tend to be good times so long as everyone's engaged with their characters and are keyed into what makes their characters unique. Part of the application process will ask you to briefly describe your heretic. You don't need to have anything super solid or extensive, but I would like to see that you've put at least some thought into it.

I will say upfront that this will not be a newbie friendly game. Meaning that if this is your first foray into the 40k universe you'll want to look for a different game. Newcomers to Black Crusade are somewhat welcome, but it's on you to actually read the source material. While I do tend to be somewhat loose when it comes to bending canon, I do like to keep things grim, dark, and serious as much as possible. With Chaos especially, that means subjects such as gratuitous violence, sexual themes, and disturbing imagery will more than likely crop up during play. This is not a game for anyone who is easily offended.
