Living World: Korolas, The World Asunder

Korolas, A world torn asunder in the most cataclysmic way possible.

Akin to the other dimensions, magic and divine power flourished in this world for a time, until an unknown force seized an ancient and powerful relic that they used to vengefully wipe all magic, divine and arcane, from the face of the world.

Following this event, known as "The Sundering", the land was filled with chaos, Clerics failed to reach now deceased gods ears, and the once powerful sorcerers and wizards, helpless to fight off even a lowly peasant. In time the Chaos bred by this event formed three mighty kingdoms that have fully dominated all but the northern barren wastes.

In the East, The Empire of the Eternal Phoenix, hellbent crusaders believing themselves the chosen for having survived the cataclysmic event. They're sworn goal is to defend the weak from the other two nations in Korolas.

In the South, The Bandit Kingdoms rule, poverty is high, and the lifestyle hellish, for all kneel before Blood King Jorvax or die. The kingdom is the sole instigator in nearly every war, but with ruthless efficiency they can continue to harass the other two empires into petty wars.

The Final Kingdom, the Mystic Kings of Shoulan, rule together in a mystical harmony, channeling the new power bestowed upon them to bring elemental fury to their enemies. While rarely hostile, they have no regret for killing any and all who stand in their way.

But amidst all of this fighting, one new faction has come to prosper, ruled over by not some powerful being, but by a group of sword masters who've had enough of human sacrifice and needless bloodshed.

You stand with these sword-masters, and through their guidance, all can be made clear in the coming wars.
