Hoard of the Dragon Queen

Hello, my name is Presli and I am interested in running Hoard of the Dragon Queen and eventually The Rise of Tiamat for a committed group of players. I am a newish DM, I have DMed a few games but most ended up ending early due to IRL responsibilities of the members. I got into D&D more recently with 5e mostly due to watching Critical Role and gaining interest that way so that should tell you a bit about my Dming style. I try to balance Roleplay and Combat in my Dming, though I can be a bit heavier on the RP side.
I have a preference for four players, though more will be considered if others are interested, my hard cap is six. We will be using voice, and video. I do not currently have a set time and date, but I think that Saturdays at 5pm PDT will be the most likely time with 2-5 hours depending on game flow. I am currently a full time student but I promise to do my best to run this game every week and I would like players who are similarly committed. This adventure sill likely be heavily edited from the original book, but I will likely stick to the basic storyline. There might be railroading, this module is written in a way that might necessitate it sometimes, I will try not to.

I will have a basic application thread below, and if you are chosen I will pm you to let you know.

My basic rules amount to please treat everyone with respect, this is meant to be fun so please come at this with that attitude.
I do not mind serious RP, but I would like to keep it at a non-R-rated level in the sexual side of things, mentioning stuff is okay, details not so much work on a fade-to-black mechanic.
Gore and violence however I am good with, I worked as an autopsy technician, there is nothing that will bother me in that department, that being said if you are squeamish this might not be a great fit for you.
I do have some table rules, which I will post when the game starts, it's mostly just to make the game run smoother, nothing overly different.
No Evil alignment PCS, neutral is fine, but please keep in mind this is a bit of a heroic story.
I would prefer basic PHB only, later if your character dies or leaves and you want to try something from another Sourcebook then we can see how that goes, but for basic creation please keep to the PHB. The exception is from the actual module which is information I will share at the first session, it's extra backgrounds and bonds basically.
We will be starting at Lvl 1, so maybe have a backup in mind, because Lvl 1 characters are tiny twigs in a forest fire.
We will spend at least part of the first session on character creation(rolling stats and such).

I really just want to play a fun game that everyone can enjoy and will hopefully continue for quite a while.

Voice and Video will either be done over the Roll20 software or Discord depending on which is more convenient for all players.
