Welkin is a pocket verse that exists within the D&D multiverse as a floating stone in the center of the Sigil. It is a home brewed world; that, in my canon, exists in the same universe as the D&D canon. This can allow for all types of play, including Spelljammer. There are currently two campaigns running in the homebrew verse of Welkin: I might start a third as well. Both of these campaigns are currently seeking new players due to work/life schedule conflict. Actions of all parties have the potential to affect the world, and by proxy, other parties.
One day at the center of Sigil appeared, relatively out of thin air, a gargantuan stone of pure mana. To this day not much is known about this, “Welkin Stone”, but it has been theorized by many scholars that it may house an entirely new realm of existence. Within the stone, all are ignorant of their possible place in the multiverse. Most living creatures believe that they are the only life, and plane to exist. The nights sky of Welkin displays a heavenly dance of 3 moons orbiting a massive ring of magical energy that surrounds the planet. This however was not always the case. Ancient lore tells of a time in which the presence of magic was near nonexistent, with the exception of only a few beings of great power, who ruled over all lands and were revered as God. Going even further into the past: within the world of Welkin stud 7 Great dungeons and gods of creation known as the Oracles; which housed all the early life, that would later go on to populate the lands. The Dungeon of Man, home to Cristiana of house Tyrania, Patron Saint of Man, and the Mother of Civilization, the first of her kind, but the last of all the races, to venture out into the world of Welkin.
This was a monumental step in the development of the human races. One that they had believed they were the first to achieve, but this was most definitely not the case. With the new and over abundant land to explore, the humans began to expand. As they adventured, they came across the many races that had come before them. Forging bonds with some, and conflict with others, they continued to spread to achieve a dominant presence thought The Cradle of life (see below). When there was no more land to explore, the people had found themselves changed by the environments they had settled, forming 4 major race sub races: The Tianians (and the Gnomes/Halflings) of the west in Griphith, The Slavs (and Lupine) of the north in Maskova, The Khetaye (and Djinnaye) of the South in Iymonkhet, and the Ming (and Dorren) of the East in Minghon.
Approximately one thousand years after the humans had begun their journey to explore the lands of the Cradle of Life, the catastrophe of Griphith shook the world. The Oracle of the Dungeon of man had been pull from his seat. Without his power, the Great Dungeon could not sustain itself, and a torrent of energy erupted from its peak, as the dungeon tore itself apparat. All that was left, was a gaping hole in the ground, which is now referred to as the Abyss. The life energy that fell the dungeon did not only cause destruction though. In its last breath, the energy boar life to a brand-new ecosystem within the Abyss. If you’ve read this far, great, you seem interested. Now after reading this description all the way through, I want you to bold the word "Tianian" somewhere in your application. It need not make sense in the context (like these last 2 sentences), but this is a step to filter the people who care from the people who just apply to as many games as possible until one accepts them….continuation>…. This has bred an entirely new type of adventurer, and corresponding culture, for those willing to overcome the harsh environment it provides and unravel its mysteries.
*(Important information before applying)
History dictates that only those from The Dungeon of Blood and High Elves (and maybe Drow, youd need a damn good backstory though), may choose the sorcerous origin: Draconic Bloodline. (see: Dragon born, Lizardfolk and Yuon-ti)
*Important Race Information: all races are similar to, but not the same as, their canon counterparts… (they play exactly the same though)
Aasimar and Tieflings are not born in my world, they are created. If you wish to play as either, your character will need a story (that begins as human) of exemplary good/lawfulness or evil/chaos (you may not play an evil character if you are evil towards the party, or your style of play is disruptive)
*(Dissclamre: Wood elves don’t really exist, but I don’t care that much. People will just recognize you as an Eladrin) The Drow are the slaves of the High Elves, (because there aren’t any spider gods in Welkin, and I think the Drow are cool). Picking a Drow will make choosing your application more difficult, I can’t justify an entire party of escaped slaves without someone reporting you to the High Elves. If I pick any, I’d only have one or maybe two, spanning all of my games. But if you like the challenge a compelling enough slave escape back story might really catch my eye.
Halflings and Gnomes are both cross breads of a sort. Some of the first humans bread with dwarves and thus created the Halflings (Halflings cannot successfully bread with either Dwarves nor Humans, but can with other Halflings). Gnomes on the other hand are Humans lost to the Fey Wilds, their bodies decay, but their souls are turned to crystal; these crystals hatch Gnomes, and depending on the type of gem and its location of development, determines its sub race (Gnomes can only successfully breed with other Gnomes of the same type).
Im sorry, but the Genasi only exist within the Spelljammer portion of this campaign
The Orcs of Welkin, are not sentient. but their half bread kin are. this is heavily stigmatized.
Races from The Isles of the Drake or the Forgotten Forrest, or any other races that would come from The Dungeon of Blood (like the Dragon born, Lizardfolk and Yuon-ti), should PM me before posting your application (any applications that are posted before I am PMed will be deleted, as it is obvious you haven’t read this far). There is insider information you’d need to know.
Three major continents: *more information on these locations will be revealed as they are discovered. Each harbor their own unique main story questlines. Players will all start on The Cradle of life and its quest line, but can diverge from it at any point.

After the catastrophe of Griphith, this dungeon and its Oracle have been lost to time. In in its place lies a great chasm known as the Abyss. With it a new type of life (this means that if you have a home brewed race you’d like to play I might accept. PM me with the details, and well discus it over discord. I need to make sure you’re experienced with home brew, and understand game balance).
