You have been travelling through the darkness of the system for the last week. At first, it was just another mindless, routine job. Pick up and drop off. You have done this a hundred times before. But then something happened. A blurry signal from a representative for The Foundation. An offer of a lucrative mission if you found a missing ship - the Shamza - carrying a professor local to the current system. The pay was too good to turn down, and the coordinates of the last known position of the ship were just a short detour from your route anyway. So you took it. That was two days ago. Now, suddenly the ship’s sensors have come to life. Alerts and prompts warn you of something close by. It’s not a ship. It’s a station...

Coriolis: The Third Horizon is a sci-fi RPG that heavily draws inspiration from the middle east and is commonly referred to as ‘Arabian Nights in Space’. Mysticism meets with advanced technologies to create an interesting synergy and backdrop from which you, the players, live and experience humanity’s farthest frontier of known space!

Gameplay

Safety macros set up via Roll20 to use during play.

Preferably, when a session begins and 'a scene opens', all participants will attempt their best at maintaining disbelief and consistent role play, speaking 'in character' as much and efficiently as possible. Though 'out of character' questions for further description or clarification on rules are always welcome.

This game will not have any grid-based combat but token tracking alongside a map will be used during the game. Violence is never portrayed in a positive light, it is disturbing, brutal and unforgiving. You have been warned.

There will be little puzzle solving in this game. That is not to say there won't be any difficult in-character choices.

Experience with Coriolis: The Third Horizon is preferred, but not required. A light outline of the game mechanics will be discussed prior to the start of the Session.

Character Creation & Preparation

A selection of five ready-made characters will be available for players to choose from. From there, we hop right into the game!

Mics mandatory, cams are heavily preferred but if majority do not wish to use then that is no worry! If you have access to the game, please take it upon yourself to skim over the rules. If you do not have a Discord account, please create one and have it ready prior to the day of the game.
