Shadow of the Demon Lord

Shadow of the Demon Lord is a fairly new RPG created by Robert Schwalb who helped create D&D 5E. It's an easy RPG to learn so new players are welcomed. Character creation takes around 5-10 minutes. The setting is very dark compared to D&D, all characters begin at level 0 and are just nobodies who wondered into an adventure. Being that everyone starts at level 0 there is a good chance of at least one character death. Instead of classes you have "paths" and character progression branches out from there like a tree. Many compare it to the Warhammer Fantasy RPG in that respect.

Everyone needs to at least have access to a microphone and be able to speak English. Video is optional. We can meet every other week on the same day or if you don't mind alternating days we can meet every week. We will meet during the day, I'm available from 9am EST to 3pm EST. I've made Tuesday November the 21st our next game but that can be changed to another day of the week if need be.

The first game will be a one shot so everyone can get more familiar with the rules and after that we will start a campaign. I expect everyone to be able to differentiate in character knowledge from out of character knowledge. Just because you as a player have faced a certain creature before and you know all of it's weakness' doesn't mean your character will. When you speak in character if you want to voice act I encourage it but it's not a requirement. We all can't be professional voice actors and I understand that.

First and foremost I want a fun game! Let's make that happen.

Edit: As of right now (6/12/18) we are doing every other Friday at 9m EST. I don't for see that changing anytime soon. Quitting time has generally been around 1pm or so.
