Tales from the Yawning Portal

Looking for 1 other player for Dead In Thay. Starting at 9th level. This is a great opportunity to play in a higher level campaign. One of our members will be unable to play for a few months and we are looking for someone to fill in that slot. We are doing The Yawning Portal campaign and the remaining members have been in the game since the very first session (we've been playing this campaign since November of last year). We are looking for someone who will be able to make it to sessions on a weekly basis, is somewhat adept at RP, and is able to meld with a party that has a lot of personality. Although we are looking for someone to replace one of our members, that does not mean that when he comes back that you will have to leave the campaign. That will be up to you and everyone else when that time comes.
We generally try to plan sessions on Friday around 4pm PDT. Sessions can go from 5 hours to as long as 8

The party current consists of:
1) Greatsword wielding Fighter (battle master), good tanking ability (21 AC with no shield), melee range only.

2) Wild Magic Sorcerer, low AC so mostly hangs in the back with damaging spells. Planning on multiclassing to fighter.

3) Moon Druid, decent tanking ability (20 AC with shield), prefers melee range. Makes use of all available healing/restoration spells.

Synopsis of Dead In Thay:
Near the village of Daggerford on the Sword Coast, the Red Wizards of Thay plotted to extend the evil reach of their land and its master, the lich lord Szass Tam. At a site called Bloodgate Keep they built a powerful portal, fueled by elemental nodes, that could allow Thayans to instantly transport whole armies into the very heart of the Sword Coast. With this power, the Red Wizards would surely overthrow and take control of the North.
However, groups of heroes recently assaulted Bloodgate Keep and its master, the lich Tarul Var. With the help of a renegade Red Wizard named Mennek Ariz, this assault was successful. Bloodgate Keep fell, and Szass Tam’s plans of invasion were crushed.
What no one expected, though, was that despite the fall of the keep itself, parts of the Bloodgate Nexus (an interconnected series of teleportation circles) survived, and a Thayan Resurrection cell leader named Syranna devised a way to use it against Szass Tam. Syranna had been part of the team that originally assembled the Bloodgate Nexus, and knew that remaining nodes allowed direct access to a secret Thayan training ground known as the Doomvault.
This adventure takes place in the Doomvault. It is designed for 9th-level characters. By the end of the story, they are likely to advance to 11th level or perhaps higher … if they don’t end up dead in Thay.

It's a rather lengthy module and could be anywhere from 8 sessions to triple that to complete, depending on how thorough you comb through the dungeon.

Logistics of character creation/limitations and how to apply are the following:
I allow all official material except UA. I do not do any homebrew races/classes. The only homebrew I do are slight variations in rules. One such being a nerf on the ability to resurrect players.
Stats will be determined by rolling.
A microphone is required and voice chat will be through Discord.
Upon character creation the players will be gifted 10000 gold to spend on character equipment along with two magic items of uncommon rarity and one magic item of rare rarity (The only magic items I may disapprove of are lolrandom items such as bag of beans). This is done to make up for the fact that you have essentially missed 8 levels worth of loot. You may spend your 10000 gold stipend on other magic items as well. However, these magic items are not guaranteed.

Please post your application below. What I am looking for in your application:
Name:
Age:
Character concept:
D&D experience:
Tell me something about yourself:
Background is separate from character concept, making a background is optional.
