Hoard of the Dragon Queen + Rise of Tiamat! Adventurers Beware!

Hello! I am running Tyranny of Dragons! Apply in the application forum below, all details will be there. We run at 4:00 CST on Sundays and usually go for around 4 1-2 hours. I am a somewhat experienced DM and have been running this campaign for 10 months. I encourage players of all skill levels to apply.
I will allow up to 2 more players.

P.S: This listing is now re-opened, due to us losing a player. I am looking for 1-2 more, the party is currently level 6 and we will be continuing on into Rise of Tiamat which goes up to level 15, so this campaign should run for about another year or so.

Encouraged Requirements:
- Enjoyment of Roleplaying: HotDQ has a heavy reliance on RP situations compared to some other campaigns. You do not need to dress up like a wizard and talk like a old man (although inspiration awaits those who do! :P) but I ask that you attempt to see the campaign world through the lens of your character and play it as such.
- No Min-Maxing Playtype: I can understand the pull to always do the most damage as possible, but I highly encourage playing an interesting character that is driven by the story and the world. I will do my best to award players with appropriate gifts to help them and that fit their character to enjoy a unique experience.
- Engage with me!: I'm completely willing and wanting to put your characters backstories into the world. I will do my best to personalize and incorporate your past into your future. But this requires you to be willing to talk with me and flesh out your character (with my help if you need it).

Be open: I am new to DMing and therefore I will make mistakes.
I am completely willing to hear you out on how a call should be made, or for you to make your case to do something. If you have recommendations for what I can do differently, or if you want certain elements to be involved in the game that's perfectly fine. I may not always agree with you and do what you think I should, but I will always have a conversation and explain why I did what I did (although it may not always be appropriate during game time, but I'm always available).

Words of Warning:
HotDQ is notorious for its lethal encounters. I will do my best to make sure balance is provided, but I will not lower the difficulty for situations just for the sake of lowering the difficulty. You are not meant to be able to fight everything and win. Your choices will have consequences. It is very likely multiple people will die. I highly recommend thinking about this campaign as "Getting through it together" as a team rather than "beating everything and getting stronger".

This trend continues into the second half we are all very excited to get into: Rise of Tiamat. The difficulty is further increased and the scale, scope, and gravity of the decisions you make increases. Furthermore, the entire Sword Coast opens up for exploration and adventure as well as some places beyond it, such as The Endless Ice Sea and Thay. If it suits the party agenda or there comes a reason for you to travel there, other places of travel include but are not limited to: The Moonshae Islands, Evermeet, Chult, Sigil, and even some of the Inner(ex. The City of Brass or the Feywild) and Outer Planes of Existence(ex. Acheron, The Nine Hells, Mount Celestia, Pandemonium, Mechanus.)

TL:DR: Play a character that isn't an ass, be someone that wants to be a part of a team, go in understanding this is a challenging campaign. So, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! Strategy is the key to survival & victory!
