Werewolves in the Mist

"The hamlets east of Daggerford have fallen prey to a pack of werewolves that spills out of the Misty Forest on nights of the full moon, cloaked in crawling mist that seems to follow them wherever they go. The beasts spread death and mayhem, slaughtering adults and stealing children before retreating back into the woods. Others have tried to combat the werewolf menace, with little success."

Game Details
I'm looking for one more player to join an in-progress game of Curse of Strahd. We had one player whose work schedule changed and had to drop out. We are 8 sessions in, but half of those were an introductory adventure to bring the characters up to level 3, so we can easily bring someone up to speed as not much progress has been made with the main plot. Your character will start at level 3.

Current party composition is: Dwarf Barbarian, Tabaxi Paladin, Firbolg Druid, and Halfling Warlock. The character we lost was a Human Cleric. For reasons related to story, it would be best if we picked up another cleric.

I'm only accepting people who have not played this module, so if you have, please pass this game over. I have run this module before, and I firmly believe everyone involved will enjoy it more if they don't have any previous knowledge of it.

This game has a set time of 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday and is played weekly.

We use Discord for voice chat.

What you can expect from this game
Horror is the overarching theme of this adventure. You will encounter many nasty things that probably want to murder and/or eat you. If you think combat is the best solution to every problem, you probably will not survive long.

This module contains a lot of exploration and social encounters, so be prepared to do some actual role playing. Although there are several structures to explore, it is most definitely not a straight-up dungeon crawl.

My focus as a DM is to have fun with and create awesome stories with the players. I am your storyteller, not your opponent. Player agency is paramount to me, and you will be free to explore and pursue whatever interests you. Just remember that the world carries on with or without you, and all actions, including inaction, can have consequences.

Player Information
I am willing to accept newer players and people who are not experts at Roll20 (I'm not an expert at Roll20 either). You don't have to have every rule memorized, but please at least have a basic understanding of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition mechanics.

If you join this game, please be willing to commit to playing at the designated time every week. Yes, emergencies do happen, but I want reliable players.

If you are interested in this game, please read through the Character Creation Guidelines in the Listing Discussion area. If you cannot agree to the stipulations presented there, please don't apply. I realize you may not like my game, and that's okay. I'd prefer we not waste each other's time.

If you are still interested, and you're cool with my guidelines, please copy the Application Template, create a new post, and answer the questions.

Good luck!
