Many have the dream to fly. To sprout wings and soar like beautiful birds through the skylands. Many years ago, during an age that nearly all people call the Breaking, magical disasters nearly destroyed all things. In the aftermath civilization prevailed, and the skylands were born! The breaking changed many things about the world, one of them being Floatwood. The material that would create the first simple airships, and allow those to escape the conflicts on the ground. We sprouted wings, and soar up to the skylands to make our own. Many years have passed since the days of the old world, and turmoil still grips the surface floor. Dreams to fly still dwell in many people, whether they're skylanders or not. Our journey begins in the bowels of the airship Legacy, where a group of wandering stowaways have found themselves on board. No matter their reasons, or their aspirations, they're about to find themselves on a path they never intended to take. The greatest question is; who are they?

This campaign is based HEAVILY on the homebrew setting of Orizon. You can read the particulars of the setting via this link; https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Orizon_(5e_Campaign_Setting)
Orizon is an interesting little set up for a long, or short term DnD adventure. The main intent is to start the adventure during the age of sailing, staged many many years after a catastrophic magical event known as the Breaking. This event was caused by natural (or possibly not natural) wild magic. Like how sometimes a Wild Sorcerer can cause terrible things to happen, but on a much larger scale. This event DESTROYED civilization, but didn't destroy everything. Enough people survived to rebuild, or make something out of what was left at least. This adventure will take you to wherever you wish to go. From the floating alps, to the dangerous surface, I will attempt to make your ventures as interesting as possible. And hopefully you will have your own vessel by level 5 or 6! We will be starting at level 1, so I urge you to not give your characters much history in fighting or magic, since it wouldn't make much sense for them to be as weak as they are.

Some things you should know before you make an application
Your character will be starting out as a stowaway, or as one of the crew members on board the Legacy. Many of the stowaways there are from a country called Aether, which is currently at war with another country called Ebon. Both have been at war for years now, but recently events have started leaning in the favor of Ebon's side. Many Aetherians have started to flee westwards into the Middlegrounds, a collaboration of nations that swear neutrality in this conflict. You don't need to be an Aetherian to be a stowaway on the ship, just something you can work with.

We will be using discord for communication, possibly skype (no matter how much I despise the damn thing) if someone is unable to use discord. For character creation it is likely we will simply be using standard array or point buy. If rolling will be allowed you are REQUIRED to have at least one negative stat, and can have at most ONE 20/18. This is to prevent ridiculous starting stats, and give me less headaches.

Please post your applications in the pinned post, and in the following format:

90% of material is allowed. UA classes, and races are allowed, along with Xanathars, Volos, and other published works. If it's homebrew PM me a link to the homebrew page, or send me the details and we'll see if we can work something out.
