Long-time roleplayer, no longer new to DnD. I'm probably older than most people on here at 34. I don't mind if people are younger, but I'd rather not play with teenagers - my nieces are teens and they annoy the hell out of me. No way I was that annoying when I was their age, nosiree. Anyway, I like RP and I like combat; in fact, exploration is pretty fun, too. Whatever is presented, I tend to see it as an opportunity and I lean into it. I don't particularly like another player stabbing me in the back because "my character's chaotic neutral/evil, and this benefits him/her/them". But I've learned a lot since that painful day, so now I'm a little more careful in my game selection and when I'll actually start trusting other players/characters. All I really want is to be able to enjoy some escapism and to let my creative side out. I'm also trying really hard to get into doing the voices; the stage was never my friend, so it's a journey.
