Bio

I am the bard who sings the song,
Of heroes lost and battles won,
The raconteur 'round campfires sits,
I stir friends' hearts, confound their wits,
The unseen weaver, spinning threads,
My wyrd twists one within them dreads,
I am the scribe, records the deed,
Though no one will my writing read,
The watchful keeper of the gate,
Beyond which bold adventures wait.

What am I?

I'm a professional Dungeon Master who runs games using the 3.5e and 5e rule-sets. I have about 17 years of tabletop role-playing experience playing Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Mutants and Masterminds, and Pathfinder, as well as a few others. I've been DM'ing for 12 of those years, forever-DM'ing for over 7 years, and DM'ing professionally full time for 3 years. I'm very experienced at teaching new players how to play D&D, so new players are always welcome in my games!

I have a background in voice and stage acting, as well as improv, so I strive to create immersive environments populated by distinct characters with lives and goals all their own. You'll have the opportunity to talk with every single NPC that you encounter and you can go on all of the "unplanned diversions" you want!

I believe that tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons are equal parts game and oral tradition. We're not just playing through a series of preset scenarios (like a video game) and we're not bound by strict and sweeping rules (like a board game). When we play a tabletop game, we're using the rules of the game as a guideline to create a story together. It's this collective storytelling that makes RPG's like D&D so unique, entertaining, and fulfilling. We have the opportunity to create a story that has never been told before and will never been told again!

I run D&D 5th edition modules such as Lost Mine of Phandelver, Tyranny of Dragons, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, or my favorite - Curse of Strahd. I can also run 3rd and 3.5 edition modules upon request.

I also run homebrew games set in my own world, using the D&D 3.5e or 5e rule-sets. You can choose your characters (I can even work with you on Unearthed Arcana or completely homebrew content!), the setting, the aesthetic, etc. I'll then work with you to tailor the adventure to the players' desires and your characters' backstories, so you have as immersive and engaging an experience as possible.

My biggest priority is to make sure you're having fun! So let me know what you want to play, and I'll work with you to narrow down what kind of game I think your group would have the most fun with.

Having greater freedom of choice is part of what makes RPG's like D&D fun, but another important part of everyone having a good time is making sure everyone is treating each other with respect. Please respect each other's ability to make decisions and don't try to make choices for your teammates. Like I wrote above, having the freedom to allow your imagination to guide your choices is what makes these games unique and entertaining! Please respect each other's comfort levels. What might be funny to you, might be offensive to someone else. D&D, like life, is a cooperative game. If the players respect each other's personhood, respect each other's agency, and respect each other's comfort levels, then the party will be all the stronger!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

I look forward to gaming with you!
