I am an Old School gamer who is backing away from the electronic gaming hobby, and returning to his first love of tabletop gaming. Tabletop RPGs, board games, card games (CCG, LCG), and miniature gaming are all on my list. I am trying to relearn the games I shelved long ago, as well as learn new games I think look interesting ... and I want to introduce my kids to the hobby to enjoy it with them. Though I have a full life of family, work, etc … making sure gaming is part of it is a priority. Be patient with me, and I promise eventually I'll get up to speed.
Interests include - Reading (Sci-Fi/Horror, Fantasy, Fiction, Forensic Detective, Conspiracy, Farce, Graphic Novels/Comics), Cooking/Eating (Sweet! Spicy!), Movies (All kinds), Photography & Art (steampunk, scj-fi, weirdness, dilapidated architecture, cosplay, black & white, erotica, cityscapes, pop art, etc...), Music (Techno, Industrial, Classic Rock, Disco, Hard Core, Pop, Electronica, Emotional, PINK FLOYD! .. pretty much anything but country.), Board Games (Catan series, Arkham Horror, Zombicide, Twilight Imperium, Tannhäuser, Chaos in the Old World, Ravenloft, Ticket to Ride, etc), Pen & Paper RPGs (RIFTS, Beyond the Supernatural, Heroes Unlimited, Dead Reign, Nightbane, Paranoia, Kult, Mutant Chronicles, Dark Heresy, Shadowrun, Star Wars Force & Destiny/Edge of Empire, etc), Card Games (Doomtrooper, Illuminati: New World Order, Call of Cthulhu, Legendary Alien, etc), Miniatures games (Warhammer 40k, Malifaux, etc).
I'm intelligent, fun, funny, strange … a regular guy who makes friends easily, and has friends of all age groups. Don't be shy, I really want to get back into rolling dice.
(I've added the Star Wars RPG games to my list of games I'm actively seeking a group for to denote interest since I don't own any of the books yet. I'll be picking them up sometime in Feb/Mar of next year when I get my work bonus)
