I am looking for a group to play a longer campaign of DnD 5e with on the weekend via voice. I'm Swedish so I'm in the Central European Timezone. Here's a converter. I can play from about 18:00 or 6 pm on Fridays and from 6 AM on Saturdays. 22:00 my time will be a stretchy tiredness stopping point both of those days. I could also play from Sunday 6 am until 20:00 at the latest.
I love a good home brewed story, where players and GM collaboratively, together, tell a sort of sand box-y story that might go in any random direction, sometimes pulled by players and sometimes by the GM. I'm not as big a fan of for example pre-written modules or long thought out chains with A to B to C routes.
To any GM hesitant about their ability to accomplish a full story "on their own", on the fly do not worry. If your creative juices run out, make the players decide direction for a bit. Make us roleplay amongst ourselves to find out what our goals, conflicts and interests are and play off of those. Or throw an encounter at us, lol. I like RP and combat. I like RP and description WHILE in combat as well.
I prefer when backstory details of the player characters can (voluntarily) be kept private from the get go, and explored in game, critical role style. I enjoy weird (even dark?) twists and surprises, but I don't like player vs player combat, unless discussed out of character and sanctioned by all parties before hand.
I love roleplaying, and though I do not claim to be any kind of a star at it, once I'm comfortable I try my best to get into it. Accents and voices are tricky, but will sometimes be tried, I imagine to the horror of all, depending on the character.
I am willing to try characters of a lot of different classes, races, alignments, genders and whatever else, as long as the party can work out. I would prefer to play with open minded adults. I am LGBTQ+ friendly.
I am a 35 year old guy from Sweden who's been playing TTRPG's on and off since I was a kid. Back then it was mostly a swedish system called "Drakar och Demoner", but in later years I've tried a session here and there of quite a lot of different ones. I've played campaigns of Savage worlds (fantasy), Fate, Call of Cthulu, some Starwars system(?), Traveler, Dungeon World, some medieval Vampire edition, a few sessions of pathfinder and a few sessions of DnD 5e.
I could be convinced to try pathfinder or burning wheel, and I'm quite curious about King Arthur Pendragon as well, but would need a lot of newbie help.
