The first thing I ever did in a roleplaying game was to use some slimy phlegm horked up by a fishman NPC as lubricant to try to slip out of some manacles. I failed the skill check, but I was immediately hooked. I loved the creativity, the freedom, and the teamwork. To me, role playing is about collaborative storytelling, group problem solving, creativity, immersing yourself in your character and the world, and having fun with like-minded people.
What you can expect from me as a player:
- Punctuality. I'll log in on time and be ready to play. If I can't make it to a session I'll give you plenty of advanced notice.
- A character that fits the setting and group. If I'm joining an existing group I'll work to fit into the existing dynamic as seamlessly as possible.
- A willingness to share the spotlight. I don't have to hog the spotlight to enjoy playing.
- An effort to match the GM's intended tone. It's no fun playing in a silly game with a grump, and it's no fun playing in a serious game with someone who won't quit it with the poop jokes.
- Receptiveness to feedback. I take constructive criticism well.
- A laid back attitude. I'm not a powergamer nor a ruleslawyer. I'm looking to roleplay and have fun.
I have experience with:
- D&D 5e
- Dungeon World, Apocalypse World, and other PbtA games
- Dragon Age RPG
- Dungeon Crawl Classics
- 13th Age
I'm also very willing to learn new systems.
If you're reading this, I look forward to adventuring with you!
