Advent gamer, loves numerous role plays that come from the creations of others and not a book someone else made (Home brew).

I prefer being a player over a DM but have had a tenancy of running into rail roaders. Linear hand holding games are not for me. I enjoy open play, with optional story arcs, and people that actually role play as well as perform in combative situations. I don't mind playing from a book, as long as it's a mature group.
