I'm just a hair shy of being over-the-hill. I write software for a living. I have a wife and a cat, and I love building things.
Along the way, I've collected more game systems than I'll ever actually play (good ones and bad ones alike) and I'm still holding out hope that I can find groups (or even a group) interested in dragging me off to see this pen-and-paper thing done right. I've played with: D&D, AD&D, AD&D (2nd), D&D 3.0/3.5, Pathfinder, GURPS, Shadowrun, Paranoia, and lots and lots of other niche games like Gamma World, RIFTS, Manhunter, and others.
I tend to pursue video games and electronic entertainment, but I've always had a soft spot for pen-and-paper RPGs. The only problem, of course, is that finding (and keeping) a group of live players is difficult. I've tried asynchronous games (like play-by-post) and electronic eqiuvalents (like Baldur's Gate) but none of those are quite as good as the real thing, right?
