Hi, my name is Jon, i hail from the frozen wastes of Canadia. I work I.T, draw in my spare time and I'm looking to partake in misadventures with some folk!
basic info
Age:31
Location/Time Zone?: Canada, EST
Availability?: any day and time
Have you ever played D&D or any tabletop RPG before?: Played DnD from 3e to 5e
What is your favorite thing about D&D (play style)?: Mechanically interesting characters (love combat), Roleplay and exploration (big fan of hexcrawls and ingame downtime)
Pet-Peeves?: Adversarial GMs and PCs (Chaotic Stupid, party stealing rogues, needless PvP, for example) and people using the game to air out their particular brand of sexual weirdness for EVERYONE to deal with (passing mentions, sexual themes, sexual jokes or saying "I go to a brothel" are more than fine, just don't want to hear it roleplayed out or have to deal with "I rape this NPC because YOLO")
Character Preferences:
I usually lean towards martial characters and races (half-orcs, goliaths, dwarves, humans, barbarian, fighter, pugilist).
My favorite class is EASILY the Pugilist, a popular and very high rated homebrew class courtesy of Sterling Vermin Adventuring Co. (http://www.dmsguild.com/product/246693/the-Pugilist-Class--FREE). The Class is a Strength based alternative to the Monk class, filling a nice niche in character options, trading the Monks signature speed and stuns for higher damage and tankiness (without stepping on a barbarian, paladin or fighters toes to boot!). I've had occasion to play it a few times and it has my favorite mechanic of any class in 5e (including UA) and love any chance I get to break it out and introduce GMs and players to it.
