You can call me Paul. Whatever nickname I've chosen this week is probably a joke or a whim.
Tabeltop RPGs I have played (I like a good card, board, dice or miniature game, and PC games are awesome, too):
All the World of Darkness before 2000 except for Wraith.
All editions of D&D except for 5e.
Star Frontiers
Marvel Superheroes
Marvel Heroic Roleplaying
Shadowrun
Ninjas and Superspies
Rifts... You know what, just about all the Palladium while we're here.
Mech Warrior (the RPG, and the TT and the MUSH)
Traveller
The Void
Dawnforge
Lejendary Adventures
GURPs (various settings and systems)
Call of Cthulhu
TOON
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness
Everway
Amber
Fading Suns
Castle Falkenstein
Deadlands
HOL
Ghostbusters
Star Wars (The good version, and the other ones)
Firefly
Leverage
...
And more that I've forgotten and will remember at the least opportune moment.
Clearly, I'm a lifelong gamer. I'm also the husband of a gamer, father of a gamer and son of a gamer (and grandson of a gamer, but Grandma just played a Gold Dragon in that one-off that Dad ran in High School in the 60s so maybe that doesn't count...).
The best part of these types of games, for my money, is the fellowship and stories. You make memories and grind the wheel of legends during a good RPG, not just solve puzzles and crunch numbers. I enjoy all the aspects of role playing; working a system to success, solving problems, working as a team (or against other players on rare occasion), improv acting, storytelling and, of course, the lulz.
What can I say, I'm a big nerd.
