Started by playing Holmes Basic and then AD&D. Long hiatus and when I returned it was to play story games (like Dungeon World, the Quiet Year, Microscope, Sorcerers and Sellswords...) and OSR.
At present, I'm all about taking minimalist rule sets and tweaking them to the particular setting or genre I want to play in.
Love Sword and Sorcery style settings as well as Science Fantasy.
Currently interested in playing or running:
+ a Sword & Sorcery campaign (using any of a dozen S&S systems)
+ a rules lite Science Fantasy game (ala John Carter of Mars)
+ rules lite Dark Sun campaign (Crimson Sun)
+ a West Marches style game
Some day in the future I would like to run a rules lite Jorune style game.
