There's a lot of things that I like about role-playing, but what gets me really excited is story now gaming, with lots and lots of attention to the details of the fiction we're creating. Whether this is Apocalypse World, Sorcerer, or any number of other games that support the creation of awesome story as you play, that's what I'm into.
What's I'm particularly fired up right now is some old school sword and sorcery (like, Clark Ashton Smith's horror-fantasy, Robert E. Howard's Conan stories, and more recently Tanith Lee's "Nights Master"; demon-summoning, action-oriented, unapologetic fiction centered around powerful protagonists). Also into zombie fiction (best example, "The Walking Dead" comic book, haven't seen the TV show), and post-apocalyptic/apocalyptic fiction (just re-read "Blood Meridian," also recently read and very much enjoyed "Dog Stars," and feeling very inspired by Vincent Bakers fantasy Apocalypse World hack, "AW: Fallen Empires").
