I'm a Games Development/Design student.
As my studies might suggest, I have ambitions of a career in games design, both traditional boardgames and tabletop RPGs and digital/computer games.
I also have aspirations of being a writer - both in the videogames industry and as a novelist - and I see DMing tabletop games as a fun way of testing and improving both of these skillsets, given that I need to produce experiences that are satisfying both mechanically and narratively on a short, regular notice.
In terms of tabletop gaming habits I tend to run and play in games of 50/50 rollplay and roleplay. Rollplay not necessarily meaning combat, just challenges which depend on the characters abilities and players thinking; including exploration and social challenges.
