I'm primarily a DM, though I do enjoy playing from time to time, and have led many campaigns through roll20 and in person.
Typically my style of DMing involves creating a universe that players can jump into, with a lot of choices to make and things to do, with no definitive "end" due to the nature of creating a universe first, and a plot second.
I typically keep party sizes around 4-6 + me, because having more than that makes things get a bit hectic, and fewer than that can make it hard to keep a campaign alive if individuals have schedule changes, flake, etc.
Many of my campaign universes are loosely inspired by fictional universes that already exist, and often contain influences of several, some more obvious than others.
