I am an Old Man living in Plano that has played D&D since 1982 but stopped playing it after all my DM's in the 80's fell prey to METH. Fastword to 2016 and started playing the game again last March. My first character I was given at that game was a Rogue and tend to play that character faithfully though, while playing I will say my class is Banker(good with locks & money) or Merchant (able to swagger the best deal from a fellow merchant/rogue) or I will pretend to be a Ranger (and say that my preferred enemy is a something obscure like Mind Flayers and Keen-Ku). I find in groups most people don't trust rogues so they don't really need to know my class as long as I produce results favorable to the group.
