Old Gamer, New System!
Played a good bit of D&D 3.5 "back" in the day. "Back" being nearly 20 years ago lol. We played in the world of Eberron and i loved it. I got a taste of most classes but the Dwarven Warpriest was mine own - and he was cool!
Anyway, fast forward to now and, aside from an AD&D one-shot here and a failed attempt at getting a group of mates together there, i've not played since. Reading good things about D&D 5e, and watching copious amounts of vids on youtube have only served in determining me to rectify this.
I also just heard about "A Song of Ice and Fire RPG" as well as "DragonAge RPG" so i'm intrigued (and a fan) enough to try them as well lol.
Hoping to one day DM my own games as i've been building a world in my head for the last 10/15 years and i know i'll never get any of it down in prose. I've also been working here and there in RPG Maker but that's moving slower than i first anticipated. So i'm looking to play as much 5e i can to maybe be good enough to DM and get to flesh my own world out.
Who knows? Maybe others might like it?
That, and there's an itch that watching videos of others doing it doesn't quite scratch. When you have the bug you have to play! And it looks like roll20's my best option right now.
So, just now i'm hoping to play every campaign at least once, give DMing a decent bash so i can build on some ideas, and all whilst having a good time lol.
