The names Darkantor. Friends call me Dark. I've been a RPG players for quite a long time. I started off with D&D 3.0, and later became a major fan of the World of Darkness system for it's "simple complexity". From there, I just branched out into so many other systems it's...yeah I have a problem...XD
But seriously, I've enjoyed RPGs for a long time and you can only imagine how tough the day was when me and my old groups had to part ways. There was a period where I could not find any new groups in my local town when I lived in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The city was lacking a strong gaming community. I managed to get a few friends for the occasional one-shot session but never managed to get anything serious going. Then I started using Skype in combination with some very primitive online server based dice rolling websites to try and get game going. It was...clunky...but it worked. I then tried out RPGTools for a while, but it was hell to get a proper game room set up where everyone could actually join without having to do some background Java debugging. And then Roll20 came around. I've been here ever since, using this as my go too tool. I've had a steady group of friends who I've DMed to as well as been a player with. Can't tell what the future holds, but I'm planning to game for a loooong time still.
I'm real eclectic when it comes to games, so I'll try almost everything at least once. I'm fine with DMing or PCing, and I enjoy the occasional breach of protocol when running a game. Don't get me wrong, I'll run a tight ship when needed to, but my main focus when DMing is to have fun. Even if that means those three nat 1's in a row from the archer results in him, literally, strangling himself with his bow string...Yes, THAT HAPPENED.
Lets see what the future holds and lets have fun. Now where's that d100 for the wild magic surge rolls...
