Who am I? Basically, I'm an easy going guy who's looking for a place to play and/or run the games I love. I'm not into politics, I'm not into power grabs, I'm into enjoying the escapism and imagination you can only get from a good RPG.
I'm the sort of player who enjoys creating his characters as much as playing them. I like well rounded characters, the sort that feel like they could walk off the page no matter how impossible they are. I like playing non-human characters in a human world and with my local group I've become (in)famous for playing anthropomorphic characters when the genre and game master allow...so if you're looking for a vulpine thief or a polar bear surfer, I might be your guy.
I've been around gaming since AD&D 1e's took the world by storm. I've played all the original table top games (Gamma World 2e, Star Frontiers, Call of Cthulhu, Heroes Unlimited, Marvel Superheroes, DC Superheroes, Traveler, Top Secret, 007, and more I've forgotten) before they were considered retro. I witnessed the downfall of most of the independent gaming companies (FASA, Palladium, and all those names that bring back memories of wasted summer afternoons). I might also be the only remaining player of Iron Claw.
I'm hoping to find a place to express myself. As I've said before, I want to create a character who lives a life in the game world, grows up, has a girl/boyfriend (or not), succeeds (or fails), but is more than a bunch of stats designed to 'win'. Oh, and its probably obvious, I like campaign length games where characters (and players) get to know each other.
As a Game Master I create complex worlds for long-term campaigns. I run AD&D 1e campaigns, Cyberpunk, Gamma World 2e, Fate System games, WoD (Vampire and Werewolf mostly), Hero System, Iron Claw, and a bunch of now defunct systems like 007, Boot Hill, and Top Secret. I'm a pretty lenient game master, I'm more interested in players who are kind, polite, and crate whole characters that they play honestly than rule lawyers. If you're a power gamer, my games probably aren't for you.
