My name is Joshua or you can just call me "Emrys" at the gaming table. I am a 42-year-old Gay elder millennial. My Prefered Pronouns are He/Him/His. My Experience in playing D&D 5e is about 4 years and almost 1900 Hrs. With 5e I have been a DM for a lot of that time but I much would prefer to be a player as I don't have the extra time for session prep these days. I Used to play 2e AD&D and 3.5e in High School and in my 20's, that was ages ago. Never Adopted 4th Edition, I have also watched several live plays over the years on Twitch and Youtube. Including Critical Role, Dimension 20, and other D&D Live Plays, I Have Watched, Geek and Sundry's Shield of Tomorrow, and Streampunk's Clear Skies and Clear Skyes: Perseverance. I have taken inspiration from some of the greats like; Matthew Mercer, Eric Campbell, Aabria Iyengar, Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O'Brien, Brennan Lee Mulligan, and the others, both players and DM's. I, however, don't do voices as in I can't, it would not be pretty.

The best thing about me as a player is my Enthusiasm and Creativity. The worst thing about me as a player is, I am not a voice actor, Just Kidding, but Really, It can take me a couple of sessions to get comfortable in the skin of a new character as I like to push the bounds of creativity with new characters and it can take me a few sessions to discover how my character will mesh with and fit in with the other player's characters at a new table Online if we don't take time to get to know each other before playing things can feel a little awkward at first as we try to get to know each other (players) through our characters. I can be a little bit Nuerodivergant I have ADHD (Oh... Squirrel) and miss social cues in an online forum so I am a bit more reserved at first until I know everyone, and I don't have the PHB or DMG Memorized I have the Essensials down but I still tend to ask clarifying questions at times or refer to the text, as a DM/GM I may make a snap ruling to be expeditious with game time and look it up later just to keep things moving and I will often redress any error by clarifying a rule and how it was misapplied and how I intend to apply it in the future at a later time above table and outside of session, one of the most forgiving things I find about being a DM is you have the freedom and permission from the actual developers to make shit up on the fly, so while rules are great guidelines as a DM I may take a lot of liberties and I am a sucker for the rule of cool it is my prime directive...

How likely am I to attend "every" session on time: Well I take my time and the time of others seriously when I make a commitment it is never my intention to disrespect other people's time. Once I have made a commitment I try my best to keep it, that said I may miss an occasional session due to real-world work requirements or other obligations because of course, while I take my gaming and hobbies seriously, some of my other priorities may sometimes win out, especially those that keep me employed so I can continue to afford this hobby as well as my housing and food security. But as of now Sunday, Monday, and Thursday are my regular days off, and Sundays and Mondays, I have Intentionally set aside this time to game. I am almost always good about giving advanced notice if ever I need to miss a date or will be arriving late you will know as soon as I do unless it is an emergency. However, it is never my desire to miss any days these games are my social decompression and stress relief and I would much rather be doing this than anything else.

I prefer campaigns that are RP-focused and focus on each player's background, and character development, in turn, I like to think smarter, not harder, and if I can think my way out of combat or a trap by solving puzzles, or talking our way out, and RP my character then that is what I enjoy most I know combat is a big part of D&D but I don't like it if it gets tedious, and I don't need a combat encounter every session to feel satisfied, entire shopping and rp session is just fine with me no and again.

Just some of the characters that live in my head that I am just dying to play are a Wood Elf, Rouge that is 16, he is chaotic neutral and was raised by humans, I also Created his brother a Wood Elf Wizards Apprentice 26. I also have a Homebrew Incubus, Wild Magic Sorcerer who has been exiled to the prime material plane, is a bit self-loathing, and feels genuinely remorseful for his demonic nature and vigilantly fights against his demonic nature, but he is also a romantic and his greatest desire is to be loved. he is a demon with a soul.

I am a self-proclaimed geek that loves Comics, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. I Really Love Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who as they were staples of my childhood. I also have an affinity for LOTR, DC & Marvel.

I am a Proud Member of the LGBTQIA+ Community.

I enjoy a healthy political debate from time to time so long as it stays respectful I am of the mind that reasonable minds can differ and that's ok and I can respect anyone who can intellectually defend their position. I am a big foodie, I love Movies and Theater, and could care less about sports in general but I don't mind Hockey or Figure Skating so much.

I am also somewhat Religious and Christian in my faith practice and am actively involved in my, very accepting and liberal faith community but I don't push my religion on others its a part of who I am it informs my values and ethics, but my approach to religion is it is not in your face, I believe in strong interfaith ties with all religions, spirituality, and those with none.
