I’ve always had a passion for a good story, whether it’s found in a book, movie, video game, or around the table, digital or otherwise.
I grew up with MUDs, text-based multi-user dungeons (Merentha for those who know, Achaea as well), and video games like Chrono Trigger, Ogre Battle, Xenogears, Fallout, Wasteland, Suikoden, and others that shaped my love for rich worlds and memorable characters. Books like Neverwhere, Codex Alera, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Demon Cycle Series, and Red Rising have also been huge inspirations for me, both as a fan of storytelling and as a DM.
My TTRPG experience started with a brief introduction to 3rd Edition alongside a Magic: The Gathering group. From there, I branched out into other tabletop RPGs, but 5e has remained my main system. It’s the one I’m most familiar and comfortable with, and I have a stronger grasp of its mechanics, pacing, and overall flow.
