I've been playing since the early 90s, all sorts of rpgs, but have just had a break for about five so I am a bit rusty but I've missed playing a lot, so I hope to find some cool people to play with here.
To begin with, I am mainly looking to play one shots and short campaigns (2-5 sessions).
I am not used to playing online at all, but am hoping to pick it up here.
I am the type of player who is really excited and ready to immerse in your world and will try to roll with your desired gaming style. From far back I also have some experience with one shot games at cons, and I usually enjoy rp'ing pregen characters almost as much as my own.
As for my own preferred style of gaming; I am generally very open and fairly uncomplicated as a player. I like games fairly heavy on the rp, exploration and combats are good fun, but not always necessary for me to enjoy myself.
When it comes to murder hoboing, building super disruptive characters, and arguing with the GM: I am too old and too openly vanilla for that shit. Same goes for evil campaigns; they've lost their allure for me. I enjoy a bit of inter-character conflict sometimes and I don't mind playing a character capable of nefarious volition at all, but in broad strokes, I tend to build characters that work decently in a team, and as a player I do so enjoy when it is time for some thrilling heroics!
I will mainly be looking to play with voice+cam since it is the closest I'll get to face-to-face gaming.
I own D&D 3.5 PHB, all D&D 5E core rule books, Shadowrun 5E core rule book and Dark Heresy 1st ed, but I am new at all except 3.5.
