I’ve been rolling dice since 1980—back when rulebooks were thin, minis were optional, and “balance” was something your fighter needed to avoid falling in a pit. These days I mostly run Pathfinder 1e because it plays beautifully on Roll20, with 3.5 still close to my heart.
I DM, I play, and I use AI the way now old short white haired dungeon masters used graph paper: as a tool. It helps me whip up stories, battlemaps, and encounters faster, so I can keep crafting fresh adventures without turning into a lich between sessions. Prep still takes hours, just fewer of them, and with more time left for real life.
I think of AI as a Module builder that no one has ever seen or played. It still has my thoughts and concepts. Full of surprises.
If you enjoy crunchy rules, classic vibes, and worlds built with equal parts imagination and digital wizardry, we’ll get along fine.
