About me
The following description is a non-exhaustive summary of what I like about role-playing games, and what I’m trying to find in a prospective gaming group.
- I’ve been playing RPGs for longer than I care to admit, and have developed a pretty clear idea of what I like and don’t like about them. However, I’m trying hard not to be too set in my ways. Vintage and openness go seamlessly hand in hand.
- I appreciate kindred spirits more than anything else. At the end of the day, RPGs are about having a good time in a good company.
- I enjoy watching original character concepts unfold and prefer immersive scenarios focused on player characters rather than off-the-shelf plots.
- I have a soft spot for organic, rules-light mechanics with no preference for any particular rules set or genre.
- My time zone is CET, but I’m fine with gaming groups from all over the globe – as long as I get a good night’s sleep.

About you
If you consider pitching your game to me, please pay attention to the following points before asking me whether I'm available:
- What age group are you aiming for? I enjoy playing with older folk, ‘older’ meaning well beyond the typical 15–25 spread here on Roll20.
- What mood and style are you aiming for?
- What kind of story do you want us to tell with your game?
- Do you believe in player empowerment? In other words, how much leverage do characters have to drive the plot? How much proactive engagement do you expect from the players? Do you prefer reactive characters who respond to in-game events, or do you expect player characters to have objectives and aspirations of their own?
- If your world or rules set is based on home-brew elements, please consider providing me with sources/references. Otherwise, I won’t be able to decide if your game is my cup of tea.
These points are not meant to be discouraging, but to provide you with an idea of what I’m looking for and what kind of information I need to make up my mind.
