I have been playing role playing games since 2002, video games since nintendo was invented, but live in a rural state with no way of playing in a group anymore. I started watch Critical Role after a long hiatus and began my own DMing, but the group only held together for a about a year - now I am w/o a group and thirsty to get back into playing again. I love 5e as well, due to its mechanics and pension to help tell a smooth story without all the rule hang up's (thaco, esp.).
RPing is my favorite part, so games that are into that are my bread and butter. I do not look to be the center of attention however, and do best working off of others. I have improv training, and am very great at 'yes, and?' instead of halting the flow. As things go I am partial to bards, wizards, monks, and clerics - and appreciate the DM descriptions of my actions within their world. I love skill checks the most and almost love failing as much as succeeding. My imagination is broad due to being a cartoonist by habit as well as a film buff, and like to do what is best for the group as a whole. I am not one to argue, or try and bring rules up every six seconds to prove a point. I am more interested in narrative and story.
One of my favorite portions of spell casting is the "Minor illusion" spell. I dig getting creative with it's use in the moment, and am never one to get butt hurt if it doesn't work.
