I like me some table-top. I'm pretty flexible and enjoy myself the most when other folks at the table are having fun, too. If the party needs a particular role filled, I will play that role. As long as my character can do something interesting every once in a while, I'm pretty content.
I'm not much of a rules lawyer or power gamer. I don't particularly care about having the highest numbers or getting my way all the time. That's not fun for me and it's not fun for anyone else, either.
When I get the right DM and group, though, I really enjoy the chance to play odd or challenging character concepts. I'm careful to make sure they aren't over- or under-powered and am savvy enough to not make them disruptive to the game itself. For instance, I once had the pleasure of playing as a sorcerous goat (a former apprentice who had been polymorphed by an angry master) and managed to save the day a few times for the party. It was a blast and it helped make the game more memorable for everyone, not because my character was a special snowflake, but because having access to sapient livestock gave them interesting ways to solve some of their challenges.
