I'm 37 years old, and I've been playing tabletop RPGs for about 25 of those. My friend's older brother introduced us and off we went. I started gamemastering a few years later and have been doing that as well ever since.
I like long campaigns with a good balance of investigation and action, and I like to have time to interact with the other characters and just roleplay without necessarily moving the story forward, so perhaps I'm a bit of a sandboxing guy, but not necessarily so.
I'm a strong believer in group balance and characters with abilities unique to them, so I usually end up playing whatever race/class/profession fits in best with the rest of the group.
