PERSONAL
I am Tery, 29, Slovakia. DnD is an intersection of a few things I like - fantasy, games, art, stories/books, history. I also love animals. My favorite books are light-hearted, easy to read (Harry Potter, Temeraire, but also classics or classic-inspired stories: Coriolanus, Bisclavret, Dracula and I Strahd), TV series old British comedies and DnD streams Critical Role, High Rollers: Lightfall/CoS and Dice Camera Action.
PLAYER/DM
My favorite thing about playing DnD is getting to tell stories with other players that are just as passionate about the campaign. As a DM, I love weaving the threads of the narrative into a coherent story with logical integrity.
I love either an RP, or a combat-focused game, lost my appetite for a ‘balanced’ game after I have seen how successfully you can run a campaign that is either one or the other. I prefer following the rules for the most part; I do not mind the rule of cool, but dislike hand-waving rules entirely.
I prefer low fantasy, mundane stakes, heroic rather than epic and slow-paced games (I am very curious and tend to ask a shitton of questions OOC and IC). Re: themes, I love war and intrigue the most. I am not a fan of 'questing adventurers' campaigns, including dungeon-delving: meet quest giver, go do quest, get paid.
I can get really into the game, the story, and the characters; I will pay attention, take notes and spend time outside of the game thinking about the lore or planning; I will share with the group pictures and videos and memes that remind me of them. I would love to play with people who share the same enthusiasm.
Thank you for reading; may you always roll nat20!
