I am an individual who genuinely adores both mechanics and roleplay. I love combat and trying to figure out how I can use my character's strengths to improve a situation. I love giving personality to my character and letting that show through their words and actions. I love exploring the lore of the world and trying to establish myself within it and not only participate in its natural flow but also actively help drive it in new directions. I love interacting with the other players and establishing friendly, social relationships with their characters that help everyone bring their personalities, quirks and histories to the surface.
I do not view these things as chores I must perform in order to fit in. Rather, these things are what I actively enjoy and seek in a roleplaying game and will constantly pursue naturally.
Tabletop is not a "game to be beaten" in my eyes. Rather, it's the story of a world and the people within it. A collection of experiences to share and enjoy with others while emphasizing the journey over the destination.
