Hello all,
I started my journey playing Dungeons and Dragons in 1979 when a teacher in my elementary school started a D&D club. I was hooked from there and continued playing and DMing till about 1992 when I graduated from college. I stopped playing and sold all my D&D books and modules in a flee market about 2 years later because I could not find people that still played. While watching a movie with my son who was 8 years old, the game of D&D was referenced and I commented and how much I loved that game. It asked if we could play not knowing that the game was making a comeback. We played together with his godfather in a group doing Out of the Abyss about 3-4 years ago. It was an OK experience because the DM was not really into doing any prep work, but it didn't dampen out desire to keep playing. We were not having luck finding a group the three of us so I started DMing again. I enjoy DMing and love playing.
