I was introduced to the Dungeons and Dragons Basic set back in the halcyon days of the early nineties. But it wasn't until college when I learned how to run a real campaign. I moved away from D&D pretty quickly and, other than brief flirtations, have never really returned. These days, I prefer more historical games set against the backdrop of the 17th and 18th Century, the Golden Age of Swashbuckling. But I still have a soft spot for sword and sorcery-style fantasy.
