Camaraderie? Check. Goofiness? Check. High blood pressure? Pass.
I'm an old-school 2nd Edition player and GM looking to knock the rust off. It's been years since I've played and I'm looking to get back into it. The big games I've played are D&D (mostly 2nd ed), Paranoia (multiple versions), Star Frontiers, and GURPS. Back in the day I was predominantly a DM/GM but I'm more interested in playing for the time being. I'm also really curious about some of the newer medium-to-light crunch games like True20, Savage Worlds, and FATE. It's a pretty awesome time to be an RPGer.
From a play-style perspective, I'm very much into narrative. I don't have a thing against intricate rules per se, but I find them tedious when they get in the way of good role playing. First and foremost, role playing should be fun.
