My name is Tim, I'm 53 on October 15, 2019, and I have been playing D&D since 1980. Yes, you read that correctly. I have tried other games systems but DnD is my one true gaming love. My years of DnD experience has provided me with an excellent understanding of the game as a player and a DM that goes far beyond what is captured between book covers.
For those who do not know the history of Dungeons and Dragons, the original version of D&D came out in 1974. It was not well done, and it was more for wargamers.
In 1977, Basic D&D became available as a well-done repackaging of the Original D&D. Huzzah! Later that same year 1st edition Advanced D&D hit the shelves and it set the stage for 2e, 3e, 3.5e, 4e, and the beautiful work of art that is 5e.
So if you choose to take a seat at this virtual table, my would-be adventurer, will be gaining the benefit of a DM/Player that has been doing this bit since the fall of 1980, approximately 39 years and only three years removed from the release of 1e D&D.
While, at times, I may not always be able to recall every mechanic there is to know I do understand the purpose of the game: To have fun.
I am also open to playing Symbaroum, Tales from the Loop, and Things from the Flood.
