Hi, I've been an active DM and ttrpg player for almost 13 years now, with 5 of it being a DM for 5e and most recently Daggerheart. My philosophy is that whatever the DM says goes, whether that means we follow the rules to a T or they are more like guidelines, it doesn't matter to me. So long as we are gathered to have fun, tell a cool story, and maybe solve a puzzle or two, I'm game.
I'm Mike or Arctic, I'm 37 years old, and love to write, tell stories, and get immersed in a good adventure. I'm a fairly easy going person, I used to be rather quiet when I first started playing but now I've got more confidence to lead a party if it seems we need someone to get the ball rolling. My biggest pet peeve, apart from the obvious red flags of ttrpg gaming, is players and DM's that consistently interrupt each other, talk over the quieter members of the party, or completely forget that the quiet party member exists. The DM/GM and players that make an active effort to help a shy player participate is one of the most noble things you can do at the table.
