I've been roleplaying over 40 years. I started with the D&D Blue Box with chits instead of dice (backordered!). I've played many games since then, but most of my early gaming groups were more interested in long-term campaigns and not exploring new games.
Games I can remember I played (some only once or twice as one shots at conventions): D&D of various flavors, Runequest, Ring World (homebrew), Elfquest, Middle-earth, Top Secret, Gamma World, Derelict (homebrew), Marvel Super Heroes, Rifts, Gurps, Deadlands, Shadowrun, In Nomine, FUDGE , Fate (especially FAE), Star Wars, The Burning Wheel, Serenity, Apocalypse World, Sprawl, Dungeon World, Mouse Guard, Band of Blades, Tales from the Loop, Night Witches.
Now I'm interested in playing more games like Fate, Apocalypse World, Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy, Mouse Guard, and more independent games.
I like to be a player or GM.
I don't really like crunchy rules and lean towards narrative style games. Not to say I don't enjoy cool rules that make the game interesting and fun, I'm more in it to make a neat story rather than "winning".
My favorite convention is Big Bad Con! If you haven't been, and want to talk about what it's like, I'll be happy to chat!
