Tabletop/Strategy/Video game enthusiast. So far, I'm only extremely familiar with the DnD 5e system (having played for about 2 years and DMed for another), but can quickly pick up new systems and rulesets provided access to the rules. Recently read the rules to Vampire: The Masquerade (20th Anniversary Edition), and am looking to give the system a try.
I enjoy roleplaying over number-crunching and combat, and especially thrive given open-ended opportunities to solve problems using creative methods rather than barbarian/monk-styled fists of fury.
I'm also a bit of an impulsive player on occasion--I prefer to trigger something rather than sitting around waiting for a perfect solution (or fiery death) to find us. One past example is throwing an unidentified potion we had obtained from an ooze witch at a salamander which had greatly outclassed our party's abilities. The potion turned out to contain a black ooze...and we were all level 3.
Commonly plays Wizards/Warlocks/Fighters/Paladins/Rogues/Rangers/Sorcerers, applying a build based upon party needs and world/character backstory.
Not a fan of playing Monks/Bards/Druids (for some reason they don't click with me), but can fill the same roles using other classes. Working with other players using these classes, however, is a blast and provides a lot of good roleplaying opportunities.
