US-based on-and-off player of pencil-and-paper D&D for about 20 years, I received the Master Set as a gift, and around the time of 2e and bought the handbooks for Warriors, Priests, Wizards, Rogues, Ninjas, Paladins, Rangers, Psionics, Gnomes/Halflings, and Dwarves, only to have 3e thrust upon me, being perpetually killed (mostly because of my lack of caution), DMs moving away, me moving away, the hobby shop in my high school town moving away (no joke), and eventually, it closing down. I played several games in 3.5e as mostly a spellcaster and those sneaky types that frequented the state of a corpse. My favorite spells are Glitterdust and Sleet Storm.
After reading several books in the setting and my local game shop closing down, I then played almost all the Forgotten Realms Goldbox games (Pool of Radiance saga, the Savage Frontier series, Hillsfar), followed by Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights up through Mask of the Betrayer, before losing interest in fantasy altogether for a near-decade.
Re-reading Song of Ice and Fire and the Dark Tower series for their release in new media rekindled my interest in playing fantasy genre characters, leading me to seek out D&D once more. I have been playing 5e for almost four years and love it!
Looking to find people with whom to play 5e adventures as well as 5e adapted versions of old modules to make up for lost time and recapture that part of my youth I abandoned so many years ago, and perhaps find the ever elusive Wendersnaven! I never dreamed that there would be a tool like Roll20 (ok I did, but I didn't get my hopes up... let's hope it doesn't let me down).
Looking forward to playing with everyone!
