I'm a DM with thousands of hours of experience running AD&D and other roleplaying games, both at the physical table and on Roll20. I have begun to prefer Roll20 because it gives me the tools to create a more immersive experience, and expand the range of participants.
I am an unmarried man (with no plans to that regard) in my late 50s living in the mid-western US. I was introduced to RPGs as a child and started playing D&D in earnest when I was about 11 years old. I stopped playing after college, but resumed again middle of last decade or so after my career had run its course and I had more time to create. In addition to Ad&d, I also have years of experience running and playing in the GURPs system, which broadened my horizons and gave me access to more creative development tools. I get loads of fun and satisfaction from creating the background and adventures that my players experience. I probably spend about half my waking hours working on these gaming materials, with the remaining hours of my day devoted to chores, maintaining my old house, making sure the I eat and the lights stay on, paying bills, doing occasional volunteer work, and other real-life stuff. I much prefer the creative and fun side of life!
